Baxter Regional Home Health has been offering quality home health care services to residents of Baxter and Marion counties since 1979. Our nurses, therapists and aides work with your provider to give you the high-quality care you need to recover at home. A registered nurse is available 34 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a functioning department within Baxter Health, your transition to home healthcare will be seamless; and we will be there every step of the way.
Baxter Regional Home Health is state-licensed and certified for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Home healthcare is part-time professional healthcare for patients of all ages, under physician direction, provided to the patient in the home setting. Many patients benefit from being in their own homes surrounded by friends and loved ones during their recovery process.
Essential components of home healthcare include teaching the patient self-care, securing necessary equipment and medical supplies, instructing the family in the physical care of the patient and helping family members cope with the challenges that result from the patient’s illness.
Home healthcare is recognized as a less expensive and increasingly important alternative to hospitalization or care in a nursing home. Home healthcare is a more effective way to provide health services in a comfortable home environment to patients who do not need 24-hour professional supervision.
