John Chinchen, MD

About John

Dr. Chinchen most recently served as an emergency medicine resident physician at Ascension St. John Emergency Department in Detroit, Michigan, before relocating to Mountain Home. This facility is one of the busiest single-site Level 1 trauma centers in the Midwest, handling more overall and penetrating trauma cases than any other hospital in Michigan. Additionally, Dr. Chinchen served as a tactical emergency physician for the Wayne County SWAT Team. In this role, he responded to active shooters, barricaded gunmen, and high-risk search warrants. Dr. Chinchen holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo.
