Professional Nursing Contributions

The Baxter Health Nursing Division proudly announces its excellence in nursing practice based on our nationally benchmarked scores.

Nursing Quality Care

Nurse-sensitive indicators are patient outcomes influenced by the quality and quantity of nursing care. Nurses use these indicators to monitor and improve patient safety and care quality.

Patient Experience

The patient’s experience in any healthcare setting is a key factor in the overall quality of healthcare and patient satisfaction. Nurses use patient survey results to improve important elements of care such as care coordination, careful listening, pain, patient education, patient-centered care, responsiveness, safety, and service recovery.

Practice Environment

Each year, nurses evaluate their practice environment to improve the adequacy of resources and staffing, autonomous practice, fundamentals of quality nursing care, interprofessional relationships, leadership access and responsiveness, professional development, and collaborative teamwork with other nurses.
