Baxter Regional Medical Center is pleased to again offer the Dr. Robert L. Kerr Medical Student Scholarship, established to assist medical students from the BRMC service area with tuition. The goal of this scholarship program is to encourage medical students to practice in the BRMC service area after completion of their medical degree. We have great pride in our area medical students and are excited to offer this opportunity to them as we strive to remain comprehensive, independent and community driven,” said Ron Peterson, Baxter Regional Medical Center President and Chief Executive Officer.
Scholarships are presented annually, and applications are available now for the 2016-2017 academic year. To be eligible, students must show proof of enrollment in an accredited medical program leading to a degree of medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy and demonstrate permanent residency in the BRMC designated service area (including the following counties: Baxter, Marion, Fulton, Izard, Sharp, Stone, and Searcy, Arkansas, and Ozark County, Missouri).
