New Support Group Forming for Women's Heart Health

Are you a woman with a personal or family history with heart disease? Have you experienced a heart event or undergone a heart procedure? Heart disease is the number one killer of women, taking the life of 1 in 3 women each year. Yet these deaths are preventable. The Heart Exchange is a new womenandrsquo;s support group forming at the Schliemann Center for Women’s Health Education that focuses on providing social and emotional support for women with heart disease as well as education on healthy lifestyle habits that promote heart health.

The first meeting of The Heart Exchange is Thursday, March 10 at the Schliemann Center for Womenandrsquo;s Health Education. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The group is free to join, but registration is required.
