Make plans now to attend the 7th annual Pink for Peitz Benefit Rodeo on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12 at the Saddle Club Arena in Mountain Home! Presented by Tough Enough to Wear Pink sponsored by Wrangler, Arkansas Family Rodeo/Rand Rodeo Company, and the Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team, the 2017 Pink for Peitz Rodeo benefits Baxter Regional Medical Center's Peitz Cancer Support House, which provides free, comprehensive support services to cancer patients and their families.
The rodeo will include popular events such as barrel racing, bull riding, bronc riding, and calf roping. The Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team will perform at the rodeo and each evening there will be a Breast Cancer Survivors’ Ceremony. Any breast cancer survivor who wishes to participate in the ceremony, please contact the Peitz House at (870) 508-CARE (2273). In addition to the rodeo events, the community will be able to support the Peitz Cancer Support House by participating in a Pink Jail Fundraiser, a silent auction, and a 50/50 split drawing at the event.
There will also be carousel pony rides provided by Bar None Cowboy Church starting at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and tug of war contests on Saturday beginning at 6:15 p.m. The Troy Farnam Band will be performing at the event on Friday, August 11 at 6 p.m.
Tickets are available in advance at the Peitz Cancer Support House for $5 each. Tickets purchased on the day of the event will be $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, and children under 5 are free.
Another way that the public can support the cause is by purchasing a raffle ticket for one of three different custom belt buckles designed for the Pink for Peitz Rodeo. The raffle tickets are available now for $5 per ticket at the Peitz Cancer Support House in Mountain Home and will also be sold at the event. Proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will benefit the Peitz Cancer Support House.
