Baxter Regional Medical Center welcomes Amanda S. Martin, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to our medical staff and community. Amanda is a family nurse practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, joining the practice of Dr. John Leslie at Baxter Regional Family Clinic on Market, a new clinic that just opened this week in Mountain Home!
Amanda is a native of our community and a Mountain Home High School graduate. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, graduated with honors and was accepted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. For the next several years, she worked as an emergency department and urgent care nurse in Mississippi before continuing her education at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing, graduated with honors, was selected into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and received the university's Excellence in Practice Award. She most recently served as a nurse practitioner specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in Jackson, Mississippi, before relocating with her two sons back to Mountain Home earlier this fall.
As an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), Amanda is committed to providing patient-centered care and supporting health promotion and disease prevention in an effort to influence positive health outcomes.
