9th Annual Pink for Peitz Rodeo is August 9-10

The 9th annual Pink for Peitz Rodeo, presented by Rand Rodeo Company and Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team, benefits the Peitz Cancer Support House of Baxter Regional Medical Center, providing comprehensive support services free of charge for cancer patients and their families. The 2019 Pink for Peitz Rodeo is set for Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 at Saddle Club Arena in Mountain Home.

Tickets are available in advance at the Peitz Cancer Support House for $5 each. Tickets purchased on the day of the event will be $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, and children under 5 are free.

Gates and the concession stand opens at 5:30, and from 6 to 8 p.m., there will be pony rides sponsored by Bar None Cowboy Church and mutton busting is at 7:30 p.m. At 6:15 p.m. on Saturday only, Tug-of-War contests will begin, with teams from Mountain Home Football, Mountain Home Basketball, Baxter County Juvenile Services, Mountain Home Pilots, Rand Rodeo and more.

Beginning at 8 p.m., the Arkansas Family Rodeo presented by Rand Rodeo Company will include popular events such as barrel racing, bull riding, bronc riding, and calf roping. The Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team will perform, and each evening there will be a Cancer Survivors Ceremony. Cancer survivors who wish to participate in the ceremony should contact the Peitz Cancer Support House at (870) 508-CARE (2273).

In addition to the rodeo events, the community will be able to support the Peitz Cancer Support House by participating in a silent auction, 50/50 drawing at the event, and mechanical bull rides sponsored by James Boyett State Farm Insurance.

Another way the community can support the event is by purchasing a raffle ticket for a custom belt buckle designed for the 2019 Pink for Peitz Rodeo or a Browning 12-gauge shotgun. Each ticket purchased will increase your chances of winning! An additional buckle will be featured as a silent auction item at the event.

The belt buckle raffle tickets are $5 each, and shotgun raffle tickets are $10 each or 6 for $50. Tickets are available for purchase at the event or in advance at the Peitz Cancer Support House, located across Hospital Drive from the Cline Emergency Center Entrance of Baxter Regional Medical Center and open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
