Baxter Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Kimberly Foxworthy, MSN/Ed, RN, STEMI Coordinator, has been selected to represent PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) capable hospitals in North Central Arkansas on the Arkansas STEMI Advisory Council (STAC), a council of the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH).
The Arkansas STAC consists of providers and healthcare professionals across the state coordinating to fight ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarctions (STEMI), the deadliest type of heart attacks caused by a blockage of blood flow to the heart that require timely treatment. Best practices, operations, and recommendations for treating STEMIs in Arkansas are collected and put into use by the Arkansas STAC. This information is then made accessible to healthcare professionals in order to improve patient care across the state.
