Today, Monday, January 18, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Baxter Regional Medical Center will only have enough vaccine doses to vaccinate employees of the Mountain Home Public School District and child care workers in Baxter and Marion Counties.
On Friday, January 22, from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Sheid on the campus of ASUMH, Baxter County pharmacies (Heartland Pharmacy and Medi Save Pharmacy) will vaccinate employees of Mountain Home Christian Academy, Cotter Public Schools, Norfork Public Schools, Flippin Public Schools, Yellville Public Schools, and the remainder of the child care workers in Baxter and Marion Counties.
Baxter Regional has requested a large supply of vaccine doses to vaccinate persons 70 years of age and older in accordance with the plan announced by Governor Asa Hutchinson. The plan calls for partial ‘Phase 1-B’ vaccinations, but we have not received confirmation at this time from the Arkansas Department of
Health (ADH) if or when those will be made available for us to distribute. We do know at this time that there are simply not enough doses available to vaccinate all eligible Arkansans. We estimate that it will take thousands of doses to vaccinate our 70+ population, which we do not have. The ADH expects to receive additional supplies each week and will work to make them available as quickly as possible.
Please hold all inquiry calls regarding the vaccine at this time and be sure to check here for updates.
