Baxter Regional Medical Center Announces COVID-19 Booster Event at Baxter County Fairgrounds
Update: Online registration is now closed. Walk-ins will be accepted from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. for those eligible to receive third dose boosters.
On Tuesday, October 5, Baxter Regional Medical Center will be hosting their first COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Event at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., third booster doses of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccines will be administered to those that register using the online form found at www.baxterregional.org/vaccine or call the Vaccine Booster Call Center at (870) 508-3100 on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 28 and 29 to schedule an appointment. First and second doses will also be available.
The COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Hotline will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Tuesday and Wednesday for all of those that need assistance with registering for the event. Those eligible for the third dose booster include individuals 65 years of age and older, individuals 18 through 64 who are at high risk of severe COVID-19 or individuals 18 through 64 whose frequent institutional or occupational exposure puts them at high risk of serious complications of COVID-19. To receive your third booster dose, you must have received your second dose six or more months ago. The COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Hotline and signup form will be available only to third dose booster shots. If you are unable to register for and attend the October 5 event, please call (870) 508-7001 to schedule an appointment at a Baxter Regional clinic.
Remember to bring a photo ID, health insurance information and a face mask to the COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Event at the Baxter County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, October 5.
