COVID-19 Update: September 22, 2021
Active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to trend down statewide and locally according to the Arkansas Department of Health. There are 102 active COVID-19 cases in Baxter County, and 42.4% of the population of Baxter County being fully vaccinated, as vaccination numbers continue to increase. There are 18 COVID-19 patients currently admitted at Baxter Regional, with only 1 in ICU. It should be noted that we currently have our first flu patient admitted, and that patient is positive for both flu and COVID-19. There are also 13 Baxter Regional employees out with COVID-19, at home and in isolation.
Additional statistics from Baxter Regional:
. 94.4% of 18 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized are not fully vaccinated.
. 89.5% of 411 COVID-19 patients hospitalized since March 1, 2021, were not vaccinated.
. 83.3% of 96 COVID-19 deaths since March 1, 2021, were not vaccinated.
