Julia Blanchard Recognized as Purchasing-Materials Management Person of the Year

Baxter Health is proud to announce that Julia Blanchard, Materials Management Director, was recognized as the Purchasing-Materials Management Person of the Year for 2023 by the Society for Arkansas Healthcare Purchasing and Materials Management (SAHPMM).

This award recognizes the individual's contributions and support of SAHPMM and vendor member relations.

Julia began her career at Baxter Health in 1991 and joined the Arkansas Hospital Association group of the SAHPMM a few years later. She quickly became an asset to SAHPMM and has served the board by holding a number of leadership positions, including President. In 2004, Julia was elected as the Region 7 Board representative for the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM), the national organization committed to supply chain management excellence. She served as representative for two years, representing Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas on a national level.

The Society for Arkansas Healthcare Purchasing and Materials Management is a leading professional organization dedicated to promoting the development and growth of healthcare purchasing and materials management professionals in Arkansas. The annual Purchasing Materials Management Person of the Year award celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry through their leadership, innovation, and commitment to improving healthcare delivery.
