Baxter Health Welcomes Dave Roberts, MPA-C, to Family Clinic at Mountain View

Dave Roberts, a board-certified physician assistant with over 20 years of experience, has joined the staff of Baxter Health Family Clinic at Mountain View and the practice of Eric G. Spann, MD, and Ashley Switzer, APRN.

He earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Allied Health Professions in Omaha and completed an emergency medicine fellowship at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Greene County, Ohio. He served as a staff physician assistant at Air Forces Bases in Germany, California, Ohio and Afghanistan before going into private practice in Central Texas.

With experience in emergency medicine and primary care, Dave now specializes in weight management including managing not only obesity, but all chronic diseases associated with obesity, including diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension/heart disease, hormone imbalances, thyroid disease, musculoskeletal pain/injuries, and circulation maladies as well as nutritional and exercise counseling.

Dave is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association and has mentored healthcare providers across the country in the field of bariatric medicine. He is partnering with Dr. Spann in the clinic’s wellness, weight loss, fitness, and longevity program and is currently offering personalized virtual and in-person visits to assist in transforming patients’ health.
