Baxter Health Welcomes Vascular Surgeon Nestor Arita, MD, to Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic
Baxter Health is proud to welcome vascular surgeon Nestor Arita, MD, to the medical staff. He will be joining the Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic and the practice of Dr. Heath Broussard, Dr. F. Michael Bauer, Dr. James Munns, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, and nurse practitioners Emily Brown and Kathy Prinner, on August 1, 2024.
Dr. Arita is a board-certified vascular surgeon who previously practiced in Jackson, Tennessee, for 3 years before making the decision to move to Mountain Home. He completed a vascular and endovascular fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, gaining expertise in various vascular conditions such as aortic aneurysms, carotid stenosis, peripheral arterial disease, and more. Dr. Arita specializes in both open and endovascular treatment methods.
Born in Honduras and raised in Miami, Dr. Arita holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and attended Baylor College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at Baylor’s Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery. In addition to practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their two children. Dr. Arita is excited to serve his patients at the Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic and looks forward to relocating to Mountain Home with his family.
