Baxter Health Welcomes Cardiothoracic Surgeon Natalie Ostro, MD, to Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic

Baxter Health is pleased to welcome cardiothoracic surgeon Natalie Ostro, MD, to the medical staff and to Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic. She will be practicing alongside Dr. F. Michael Bauer, Dr. James Munns, Dr. Nestor Arita, Dr. Heath Broussard, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, and nurse practitioners Kathleen Prinner and Jeanne Marotta.

Dr. Ostro recently completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at NYU Langone Health in New York, New York, gaining expertise in various vascular conditions. She specializes in coronary artery bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement, and robotic thoracic surgery. Dr. Ostro completed many elective rotations in various specialties including surgical oncology, thoracic oncology, trauma surgery, and thoracic surgery. Her extensive training includes an internship and residency in surgery at The Stanley J. Dudrick Department of Surgery at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut. Dr. Ostro earned her Doctor of Medicine from Saint George's University in Grenada, West Indies, and her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Ostro enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband, Dimitry, their children, Roman and Mary Claire, and their two dogs. She is excited to join the team at Baxter Health and continue their commitment to providing the highest quality care and latest advancements in surgery.
