Baxter Health Welcomes Amanda Whitaker, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to Baxter Health College Street Family Clinic

Baxter Health is proud to welcome Amanda Whitaker, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to the medical staff. Amanda will be practicing at the Baxter Health College Street Family Clinic beginning on Monday, September 16, 2024, alongside Chesley Murphy, MD. Baxter Health College Street Family Clinic is located at 400 S. College Street, Suite 5, in Mountain Home. 

Amanda, a Mountain Home native and graduate of Mountain Home High School, most recently served as a nurse practitioner at Women's Wellness in Mountain Home, providing comprehensive evaluation and management of primary care, gynecologic care, acute care, weight management, and wellness needs for women and children. Prior to this, she practiced at Baxter Health Market Street Family Clinic, where she focused on internal medicine and primary care. Amanda is an advocate for balancing holistic care with modern medicine, and she has a strong passion for helping patients reach their goals through positive guidance and empathy.

Amanda's educational background includes earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Following several years of service as an emergency department and urgent care nurse in Mississippi, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She graduated with honors, was selected into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and received the university's Excellence in Practice Award.

Outside of caring for her patients, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, and two dogs. They enjoy camping, exploring state and national parks, kayaking, fishing, and hiking.
